2Pretty good watch but I'd recommend the T5C441  Jan 01, 2007 By airman
This watch has nice features but here are the drawbacks. 1) The red indiglo is very dim and you will have to focus your eyes to see it, in other words not that easy to see 2) The main rim on the face after only a week of use has had multiple places where the paint has flaked off...pretty bad paint job. I previously had a ironman #T5C441 and I'm just going to buy another one. The face is stainless steel and lasts a while (I lost my last one).

5Great watch  Nov 02, 2006 By B. Gray "dswife"
I have always worn men's timex watches although I am a woman this watch is not too big or too small for my 6" wrist. The timex ironman triathalon watch has many great features that I like such as the occasions reminder, the flix system, and probable my favorite is the contrast between the numbers and the background on the face, it is incredible clear and readable in all lights and the indiglo makes the letters red which makes this watch pleasantly unique. The colors on this watch while described as reddish pink are more of scarlet and gray (Go Ohio State!). This watch also came with a free battery in addition to the one already in the watch so just an added plus from watches n' things. Definitely a great watch!

4Practical not fancy  Jan 17, 2009 By M. Eberhart
Watch works very well and has great features, including 3 alarms and lap chrono. Display is clear. Switching modes and setting is similar to other Timex models, so directions are barely needed. Great value considering options versus price.

Only drawback would be the face, which looks a little on the cheap side. Obviously, not a watch you would want to use to make a fashion statement.

3It's true, Indiglo has changed and is nowhere near as bright as it was on earlier watches  Jul 09, 2006 By David C. Williamson
I had a Timex that looked almost identical to this one except that the body was actually - as far as I could tell - stainless, where this one is stainless-colored-plastic. As usual, after 18-24 months the band split and as far as I can tell there are no replacements for most Timex digi watches anymore. What good is a six-year battery if the band only lasts 2 years? Anyway, I thought this would be a replacement for it - well, sadly, the functions are all the same, and they've added a few things like an "occasion" alarm, but the Indiglo is not even CLOSE to being as bright and is a reddish color. It _is_ usable in complete darkness, but is no help at all in dusk/dawn-type conditions.

I just returned another one that looks just like this one but has blue where this one has silver for the case, and it had the same issue - almost useless, or perhaps I should say, extremely reduced brightness, Indiglo light.

Fortunately our WalMart has the same watch as the one I'm trying to replace - I should have bought it from the start - but New-Gadget-Itis took hold and I wasted some time and shipping dollars to find out that Timex has evidently put battery life ahead of actual functionality. The old Indiglo was bright enough that in really dark conditions, you could use it to light up objects in the dark. If I were a Navy Seal afraid of being seen by the enemy when I checked my watch, this would be a good thing, but since I'm just an aging geek who wants a bright backlight, this isn't the watch for me. If the bright Indiglo of days gone by is a deciding factor for YOUR watch purchases, look elsewhere.

3Bad for Night Use  Apr 22, 2006 By J. Meno "Runner/Fighter"
This is a great watch with really good features. The display is extremely clear in the day time. The FLIX feature is also a great idea when you only have one hand free in the dark.
However, the indiglo feature isn't very bright or easy to read unless it is pitch black. If you are running around dusk this becomes a problem, b/c it's too dark to see the display, but not dark enough to use the indiglo. If you primarily use the watch during the day, this can totally work for you.
