Good design, style & features Sep 18, 2008
By 1Sunbum Had this a couple of months now and it's held up very well (I'm very tough on watches). The large, uncluttered, easily read display has the basic data I like (day/date). I also like the overall design and that it's waterproof to 330 feet, so it easily survives the ocean surf. Seems to be quality design and construction; I liked it enough to even get a spare (I hate it when I find a product I like, and go for a replacement only to find it's out of production!). Kind of neat the way it came in a tin box, too! Quick update: Been using this a while and time keeping accuracy is outstanding, better than my Heuer, Movado and Accutron. It's also holding up very well and I was surprised to notice the raised bezel must do a good job of protecting the crystal as it has no scratches in it (unusual for me). This thing is great especially for the price.

Good watch but........ Apr 01, 2010
By M. Rausch I have had this watch about 2 years and I really love it. Big easy to read time and date. Lite and comforatable to wear for long hours. Recently the band broke and I have looked around for a band with absolutely no luck. Nobody shows one available and because of the specal design of the band, a generic one will not fit. New watches run about $18-$25 which just about makes it disposable.
Keep that in mind if you buy one.

Good buy Dec 11, 2008

"new-fi"
The good:
+ Big LCD is easy to read, even when I'm half-asleep and not wearing contact-lens
+ Comfortable, my wrist didn't feel overheated even when I wore it nonstop for 2-weeks in Egypt recently
+ Alarm, indispensable for traveling
+ Two timezones, handy for always remembering the home time when traveling
+ Waterproof to a decent depth, it was no problem snorkeling and skin-diving with it
The bad:
- The big metallic face was not my first choice of style, but acceptable (it looks fine, better than some other cluttered designs, but I would've preferred something a little less... shiny)
- The mode-change button always beeps, and can't make it silent (I think?). Not a big problem however

Excellent For The Price Jul 09, 2009

I've owned this watch for several years and as a mechanic, I can say that it has been very durable. The watch keeps time, has more than adequate functions, has an easy-to-read face with slightly larger numbers and a multi-colored face when illuminated. Only drawback was when I broke the band (due to me wearing it while I'm working - I'm a mechanic, remember?), the watch repairer informed me that the band is not a common style and might be costly to replace. So....like the previous review, I ordered another one. I'm keeping this one though. It's my alarm clock when I'm on the road.....
Just will not quit Sep 12, 2011
By Jordan E. I got this watch about 5 years ago at wally world and its been on my wrist every day since. For a relitively cheap watch, this Armitron has held up amazingly well. It's functions and buttons work perfectly, the alarm goes off the same time each day and I only adjust the time maybe twice a year at the most. That's not to say it hasn't taken a beating; the green paint is almost gone, the labels for the functions have worn off, and there's some scratches across the face. I think that adds personality to the watch and it's cool that no one that's not familiar with my watch can operate the functions (due to the labels being worn off) but i've had this thing so long that i can operate it with my eyes closed by memory. I highly recommend this Armitron for anyone looking for a watch in this price class that just. will. not. quit.
