Nice backup watch Apr 04, 2009
By James E. Schaefer

This watch looks good and is easy to set up. The use of lcd's as a second hand is very clever. The drawback with this is that they are very hard to read even in bright light. I would recommend that the maker change the color of the lcd's for the second hand or use another medium to make them readable.
Overall, for the price, this watch has functions and looks that make it a good buy.

Another excellent Casio product Sep 06, 2011
By Marc With this many features and at such a low price, this watch stands out in the crowd.
At one glance you can view analog and digital time down to the second, day of the week, day of the month, and month. 4 button controls for settings and access to other features such as stop watch, timer, alarm, etc.
The plastic/rubber band isn't extremely fancy but it's waterproof and very functional as well as comfortable and still decent looking. I like the stainless steel bezel and hard crystal because I'm physically hard on watches.
The watch is also attractive ( I get compliments on it ).
Some reviewers said that it's difficult to see the silver hands against the white background. Under certain lighting conditions ( such as outdoors in the bright sunlight ) that's true, but tilting the watch slightly reveals the hands. This could be improved by Casio, but it's no show stopper for me.
One thing I'd add to it is a mechanical sweep second. If there's one thing I dont like about the watch it's the LCD sweep second. It takes me a few seconds to find it. Again, not a show stopper.
I only buy inexpensive watches because I'm so hard on them. They go swimming ( get submerged ), get banged around, oil, grease, sand and dirt. For an inexpensive watch, this one beats any other I've owned, appears to be more durable ( so far ) and it looks great.

Look is deceiving Aug 30, 2008
By D. CHANG the watch looks okay from the web page. when received the product it looks cheap, the hour and minute hands blocking the digital display. The watch is bigger then it looks.

Invisible Hands Oct 24, 2010
By Mike G I'm a big fan of Casio watches, I've owned them for 20 years but this watch was a mistake for one simple but important reason, It's very difficult to see the hands! The watch hands blend in with the background of the watch making telling time a difficult task, not a good trait for a watch! Also, the digital displays in the background are partially blocked by the hands making it hard to see the date. It looked good on-line but turned out to be a $27 mistake. Time to find another Casio watch for me...

There are many better choices Sep 30, 2011
By Phillip H This watch looks good but has a very cheap feel. The band is a cheap plastic, like something you would find on a child's watch. As noted in other reviews, the use of LCD for the sweep second hand is clever but almost impossible to actually use. The LCDs are recessed in such a way that you would need to have the watch under a very bright light to see them, and then only from a very direct angle. The complicated procedure to set time and date functions is overly prone to error and confusion. Being a relatively inexpensive watch, I suppose you shouldn't expect too much.
