1It Leaks!!!  Jun 12, 2006 By A. Bradley
I've had two, both sent from the magazine (can't remember, maybe sharper image). The first leaked in 5ft of water, the mag sent a replacement. Second leaked today in less than 4ft of water.

5Get this watch!  Feb 17, 2010 By John C. Hansen "canada hansen"
I just bought my second Freestyle Hammerhead stainless steel watch. I misplaced the last one I had when wearing another of my 200-metre watches. I really like this watch and have had no problems with either of them. You will love this watch! Mine have never leaked or lost or gained time. Great deal for $100.!

5Fantanstic, durable watch!  May 12, 2009 By Eric Keppel
I love this watch! My first hammerhead was found on a beach in Florida washing up in the waves, believe it or not. It had a small divot of glass out of the face and the neoprene watchband smelled like seaweed, but the watch worked great and was ticking along just fine. I wore that watch every day through showers, swimming, and more without any problem.

Most so-called "dive watches" have leaked at some point on me, but not this one. I gave the watch so much praise that one year my wife bought me a brand new one with the stainless steel band as an anniversary gift. It was just as fantastic as the one we found.

The next year, I became a Scuba certified diver, and this was the watch I wore on all my dives since then. I've had it in 75 feet of water several times and in 30-50 feet of water many times without any problems. It just keeps working! I have replaced the batteries on both of my hammerheads over the years, and have found them to be my only watches *worth* replacing the batteries in. I also have owned numerous Walmart-type watches that look nice, but fog up when you rinse your hands in the sink, so I always go back to the hammerhead.

I would comment to the other person who had problems with their hammerhead leaking that it is very important that the bezel is screwed down tightly before going in the water. If not, then it will leak! Maybe you got a couple of bad watches in a row or something, but I certainly would recommend this watch to others, especially divers, since it is fairly inexpensive as quality dive watches go, and the numbers are easy to read with little light when in deep water.
