| | Description | An undeniable force to be reckoned with, the Invicta Men's 1512 I Force Collection Chronograph Strap Watch is the perfect marriage of style and superior functionality. This rugged timepiece begins with a round 45mm stainless steel case with a fixed bezel and a prominent textured crown on the left side of the case with two pushers. These elements surround a dashing black dial, which is protected by a hardened mineral crystal and features white Arabic numeral hour markers with a stenciled look and luminous hands powered by reliable Japanese quartz movement. The dial also features three chronograph sub-dials offering 60-second, 60-minute and 1/10th-of-a-second sub-dials, a tachymeter scale on the inner bezel and a date display window at the 4 'o clock position. A black cloth strap with leather backing keeps this watch on the wrist, while a buckle clasp ensures its secure placement. Finally, this watch boasts water resistance up to 330 feet (100 meters). A stellar addition to any watch collection, don't let this Invicta slip through your hands. | |

Typical Invicta, and yet distinctive in a couple of ways, and 1 negative (for me) Dec 11, 2011
By Dave

First, these big Invicta watches are things you either like or don't like. I have three of them already and I like them. They're big and a bit clunky, but that's the look and one should expect it. And they are well made.
When reviewing, I generally like to comment on things that aren't obviousy to someone browsing the item, and that's especially true of how something looks. I'm making an exception in this case because while this is sort of a typical Invicta face, the large, almost-Deco numerals and the very chunky ends of the minute and hour hands are different than other Invictas of this type that I've come across. At first I really didn't like the looks of the dial, and felt it was too 'in your face' (even compared to Invicta's usual stuff) but they grew on me, and it's very very easy to tell the time (despite the chronograph dials making the face busy) without glasses (I'm far-sighted).
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT BAND MATERIAL: The band is described as being "cloth" but that's not the whole story. It's cloth on the outside (sort of feels like an upscale canvas) but the cloth is sewn onto a leather strap. It lends the band a nice thickness, but do be aware that what you will feel against your skin is leather and not cloth.
Note that while the title doesn't say so, this is what Invicta calls a "lefty" because the control dials are on the left rather than the right. I wear my watch on my left wrist, and I find this works fine.
Having worn this watch a bit, one thing that I didn't think I'd even notice, but which I do, and which I don't care for, is the extent to which the second hand stands out. It's red (everything else is white) and large (it's not on a subdial), and I find that it draws the eye enough to be distracting. Objectively speaking, it's not a big thing, but subliminally I seem to notice it and it'll probably result in my wearing the watch less than I otherwise would.

Not my taste, but a good watch Dec 31, 2011
By Mason Smith Let me start by noting this is not really my taste. There's no accounting for taste, so if this looks good to you, knock yourself out.
Also, if you're left handed, it's cool that there are great watches for you too. I don't see that very often.
The stopwatch function is the first analog one I've ever found actually useful. It's actually better than my digital stopwatch. It's very easy to read precisely and it's very easy to use, and more importantly, it's actually very accurate. The buttons are also responsive. This isn't just a showy feature to help the watch look cool. This stopwatch is designed and intended for serious use.
The watch is huge! And thick! I actually got used to wearing it within a few hours... it's substantial, but the leather band helps keep the weight on the sane side. That band is not leather on the outside... some sort of cloth (and it's a durable cloth) but is soft leather on the inside. Comfortable and durable.
The date function (it's that little spec of white by the 4) could be a little more obvious, but it's as easy to set up as you'd imagine and works fine.
I wore this watch while helping do a lot of home improvement over the holiday break and I banged it up. To be honest, I figured this was a good watch to wear to sacrifice that way, to keep my other watch pretty. Surprisingly, after whacking this about, getting it wet, even grinding it into drywall on accident, this watch looks *exactly* as good as it did when it came out of that ostentatious yellow gift box.
Bottom line: this watch won't let you down. If this watch is your taste (it's not mine) then you have nothing else to worry about.
--- a final note: I don't know why they do that thing with the pricing where they claim the real price is many hundreds more than it always sells for. That's silly. But for the actual price, this bargain is hard to beat.

A beautiful, and bold, watch Dec 08, 2011
By Jessica R. Westberg
"A Catholic with a sense of the silly"
I gave this to my husband to try out, and while he really liked it, there were a few things he didn't like about it.
It is a comfortable watch - the band is fabric on the outside and leather on the inside, which means that if you happen to get hot while working or while outside, your sweat won't soak up into the fabric as much (thus becoming stinky). The watch dials are fairly easy to figure out (I thought), and the timer is easy to use - a bit awkward though, depending on which wrist you wear the watch on. This is a big watch, though, and my husband can't wear it all the time, as he works with his hands a lot and would get in the way of machinery and such. My husband didn't find that it was too heavy (most likely because of the band material). He will be wearing it for special occasions, since he can't wear it at his day-to-day job.

Absolutely love it! Dec 01, 2011

Another watch that follows the trend of big watches, the 1512 has a casual and kind of an elegant look at the same time, which is great as I can use it for work (on a business casual dress code) or during the weekends when I normally wear jeans and more casual clothes.
Same as the 1430 line, it does have a stop watch function and can also be used as a tachymeter. The crowns to set it up are on the left side rather than the right, which is where they are normally located. Included in the box is a set of instructions on how to use all features. The second hand is red while the hour and minute hands are white, which makes a good combination and adds to the look on the face of the clock.
Contrary to what you may expect, it is not as heavy as it looks and the band is quite comfortable. Important to note that the band is fabric on the front side and leather on the back, I added a couple pictures as this is not that clear in the Amazon product description photos.
As my other Invicta watches, it is precise and I have had no issues whatsoever. I am so excited with this new watch that I have been practically using it on a daily basis; from my watch collection, I have to say the Invictas are my favorites. They are well made, look great and trendy, and overall, perform as expected.
Highly recommended if you are into big watches.

stunning Nov 28, 2011

This is hands down the most awesome and beautiful watch I own. It's heavy, thick and well constructed with clean lines and a well thought out design. Stopwatch functionality and control is excellent. The stock band is comfortable and well made, thou i'll likely be swapping it out with a custom leather band later to better suit my own personal taste. Love the oversized design and the watch face detail. My wife remarked this weekend, "If you ever get mugged you can always hit someone with it." :)
