Unique watch. Red LED. Aug 03, 2010
By Nuknuk I love the concept of this watch. Camouflaging as a regular metal bracelet without the conventional face. I imagine that Steve Wozniak has a watch just like this. A unique piece.
I got my Samurai watch shipped from Singapore (via another seller). My initial reaction was about the weight; I tend to lean on one side when I wear this watch :) Also, the part of the watch that shows the numbers is much thicker than I prefer. If it is only half as thick, it would be just perfect.
There are no instruction whatsoever. Fortunately, it is easy to find instruction from internet. There are only two rows of display; and there are only 2 buttons.
The top button will show the time, as follows: * top row - hours * bottom row - minutes
If you click the top button the second time, it will display the date as follows: * top row - month * bottom row - date
If you click the button the third time, it will show the seconds. But the seconds is useless as it turns off the display after 2 seconds. I though it can be useful as a stopwatch - but the answer is no.
To setup the time and date, you will need to press the top button first. When you see it lights up and the the time appears, press the second button (the setup button). The hours will start blinking. By repeatedly pressing the setup button, it will cycle through the hours, minutes, month, date, AND year. Interestingly, you cannot display the year if you press the top display button. The only way you can get to the year is when you are setting it up.
I snap off the bottom plate to see what is inside. It requires one CR2016 battery to run the watch. Checking the prices online shows that the battery is not very expensive.
I can read the red LED numbers clearly inside but can be a struggle in broad daylight.
Except for the weight and thickness, I like it very much. It is certainly a conversation piece.

Samurai with style Oct 20, 2010
By 5-Speed You see me walkin down the street, doin nothin but mindin ma B's.
"What time is it?" people ask me. "IDK, what time is it?" I sit and ponder a moment and with a great swift action I lift my arm press the button and BAMMMM "Here is the time sir!"
They falter with words as the awesome supreme power of the Samurai Watch slices their retinas with the precise time of which they inquire.
I lower my arm, careful not to completely devastate my opponent, for I might be charged with assault.
The Samurai is within.

Wierd is good Jun 02, 2010
By Christophe J. Fouquet A watch that does not look like one. My kind of thinking. The pictures are a little deceiving. The watch looks very thin. The band (links) is but the actual watch part is not. Height is about a centimeter. It is still reasonable. The links do not come apart easily. Some watches have some clips to adjust the length yourself. This one requires a machine to adjust the links. So plan to take a trip to your watch repair man. He charged me 10$ to do it (2 mins of work, arg!!). So this adds up to the price of the watch. Overall, I am happy with this. It is just cool. Obviously, reading the time on this watch in plain sun light is a problem. That's the price to pay for LED geekyness.

Not too much issues Apr 29, 2011
By T I received my watch about a few weeks ago and didn't want to review until I had a decent amount of time with the watch.
The watch came to me in a yellow envelope with a layer of bubble wrap, the watch itself is more of a glossy black than silver. I read comments about the paint causing skin rashes and the paint rubbing off, but I have no yet experienced this problem and I wear this watch for about 7 hours a day for about 4-5 days a week.
The handle was quite long, however using a paper clip I was able to push out the pins and adjust the length, however it seemed only one side of the watch's pins were able to be pushed out. I tried the other side with quite an amount of force and it didn't come loose.
Pros: Nice looking watch, does what it needs to do (tell time, date, etc.)
Cons: Very hard to tell time in bright sunlight, and it might be just me but the watch seem to sometimes jumps a minute or so ahead. example: I set the time to 3:00pm and few days later at 3:00pm it would say 3:02 instead.
