I think the watch is much better looking than it's picture. My Dad has an older Pulsar that is black and gold, very similar looking. It was wearing out and he said that if he could find one like it, that he would buy it. I searched and this was as close as I could find. It appeared in the picture to be a satin finish, like my Dad's watch. It actually is a very striking black mirror finish, a beautiful watch! My Dad is VERY pleased with it.

Pretty flimsy. Looks nice, though. I wish Seiko/Pulsar had a little heavier or stronger version than what is being offered now. Unfortunately, Seiko no longer makes the model that I bought 5 years ago. I guess I can't complain for $69, but I would have rather paid more and gotten a better quality watch.
