Pulsar silver alarm chronograph watch Jun 05, 2011
By Mike5468 Received the watch a few days ago and all seems well, a good quality product for only $65. The alarm is quite difficult to figure out even with the instruction book. I'm still giving this watch 5 stars though, because for the price the quality is excellent. You only begin to see real quality in the minute details of a watch when you start paying 300 dollars plus, usually the band is heavier and more solid but if you're on a budget this is a great buy. I would also like to add the face is really easy to read for a chronograph, I am 43 y.o. and needing reading glasses now but I am delighted the watch is clearly visible with the white hands against the black dial.

Really nice watch Mar 26, 2011
By charis bacheller I entered my order with the Amazon vendor and agreed to a price of $70 US. The watch arrived a few days later. I was a bit disappointed to find no included instruction manual. No big deal as I was able to find relevant instructions for operation on the web. I have lived with this watch for a few days and here are my impressions: Very easy to read dial in light. The luminous ability of the hands and hour indicators is minimal (for dark conditions)but I'm not bothered by that. The band was easy to adjust. I removed three links and left the clasp adjustment at the factory setting. Previously I used an older Pulsar three button/two crown chronograph/alarm watch and loved it. I wasn't too sure about the two button/one crown system of this watch, but I find it to be just fine. Like my former pulsar, setting the alarm function on this watch requires removal of the watch from one's wrist. It might be possible for someone to set the alarm without taking the watch off the wrist, but not by me. I don't consider the method of setting the alarm to be a bad thing. The relationship of the moving hands to the indicator marks on the watch face is much better on this watch compared to my former Pulsar. The band is comfortable, and despite the relative thickness of the watch, it feels compact on my wrist. The chronograph functions as expected. I appreciate the tachymeter marks on the watch face. Nice for timing things that happen in under one minute (like checking the speedometer calibration on you car). Timekeeping accuracy has been right on the money.
I consider this watch to be very good value for the money. I only replaced my thirteen year old former Pulsar because it was lost, so I would expect this watch to run for a long time. I prefer this type of relatively simple battery powered watch as compared with the complicated Seiko kenetic system, which seems to require lots of expensive maintenance. (Just check the web on that) My only real disappointment is that this watch has a press on back, not a threaded one. I find threaded backs to be easier to remove and reinstall for battery replacement, as I do this myself. Oh well. Still, a nice watch. Happy customer.

Ehh...... Dec 09, 2011
By Frank Giann The watch itself is not bad but the band feels like its made out of aluminum foil. I plan to purchase a better one. You get exactly 70 dollars worth of watch here. Hate to say it, but the Invicta's are a much better buy.

new watch review Jun 18, 2008
By John C. Holloway Watch is very easy to read as well as the date. One of the nice things about this watch is the band, it is very easy to adjust for most anyone's wrist.
