Killer Timepiece! Apr 28, 2011

First some specs: 46mm case and wears like 47 with the large dial opening. Extremely accurate movement that is about +2 seconds in 24 hours for me. Love the 6498 with the sub second by the 6 o'clock, by the way. Power reserve is longer than two full days, possibly around 55 hours and is the longest power reserve I've ever seen. Beautiful dial, thick and sturdy bracelet with safety clasp, and the beautiful exhibition case back to see the unitas movement. This watch goes with everything from a suit coat to a t-shirt and jeans. It really is an exceptional killer timepiece.

It's a very nice watch just be aware it's not an automatic watch which means you will need to wind the dial manually every 2 days!
Amazon should correct their description!

My first Swiss movement non-quartz watch. I love it. The description says it's automatic. However it is not. I went to Victorinox website and confirmed that it is indeed mechanical watch. I don't want to return the watch because it's such a lovely piece. I love it. I am keeping it. Looks better in real life than in the pictures shown. It's a keeper and looks like it will last me for a very very very long time.

Of the 3 Victorinox watches I own, all mechanical, this one is probably the best value for the money---well, they are all great and highly recommended, but this one is the best in the competitive ranks. It almost parallels my Tag Heuer Grand Carrera in terms of its aesthetics and quality, solidness of feel, etc. If you like your watch to be large and visible but with discernible quality by people who ware necessarily not watch experts, this timepiece is highly recommended.

Awesome watch, high quality throughout and the movement alone is a work of art. For the price you cannot get quality like this for a swiss timepiece. The specs speak for themselves and the picture does not do it justic absolutely gorgeous watch swiss army has hit a home run every collector should own this watch especially at the price point.
