Everything a Seiko shouldn't be May 11, 2012
By RMPotter Three things attracted me to this watch: The Seiko Name, Automatic movement, and the Lumbrite dial with Luminescent hands. I returned it once because it wasn't keeping time, and the lumbrite dial stayed illuminated only about 10 minutes, not the 5 hours it was supposed. The new watch is only marginally better.. it still loses anywhere from 10 minutes to completely stopping, even though the watch is being worn 24 hours a day so that there is movement. The Lumbrite dial was something I was counting on with my work, and it is a total and complete let down. I've had it out in the sun for seven hours. It lasted less than 20 minutes in the dark. With Seikos history, and my discussions with them via email being assured about the glow time of the watch, I am sorrowfully disappointed. If that is a feature that drew you to this watch, you'll be disappointed. Amazon won't let me return it even though it doesn't live up to the selling points. I don't see the point in sending it in for repair since it appears this is just the best the watch is going to do?
