Beautiful mechanical Dec 03, 2011
By J. Astesana I picked this up on Black Friday, and have been wearing it ever since. Its a skeleton, so you can see all the mechanics of it. The hands are anodized blue, which really makes them pop out. The leather strap is soft and very elegant. Not much to say, its still ticking, even the couple licks Ive given it. Swung my arm against the tile counter the other day, and nothing. I have another couple brands to compare this too, but it wouldnt be right. The size is a normal size, not the huge things being made now days that take up your whole arm. It goes well with a suit, and goes well with a t-shirt. If you dont move a lot during the day, the winder is there. Weight is fine for a typical guy, nothing that anyone will get upset over. For a mechanical watch (no battery) its a great price for it. I own a couple other mechanicals, and they are all elegant, but this one beats them all with the price.

It Looks Pretty, But.... Nov 28, 2011
By W. Pfeister I bought this watch when it was on sale from another site for about the same price ($60) in hopes of this replacing my old dingy work watch (wear it everyday to work, where I use a computer). It's a great looking watch and I received many compliments on it. It was not too big, but it's not small either. However, I am upset that the winding mechanism inside the watch broke after 2 months of use. I now have to send it back to Stuhrling at a $20 charge to me where they will fix. This is a great watch, but i wouldn't recommend for an everyday watch....
"premium" watch? May 15, 2012
By Teresa Maples My wife bought this "premium" timepiece for my Christmas gift with the understanding that it was "Swiss" and had a premium-grade designation. When it quit working 2 months after that, we attempted to return it through an authorized reseller as per the instructions in the warranty. We were informed that the only authorized reseller in the state did not in fact do any returns and that they had no idea how I should proceed. Upon further inspection, I found that nowhere in the description does the company indicate the country of origin for this timepiece. It states in a very misleading fashion that the watch is made to Swiss "standards" and under Swiss "supervision". Furthermore, the warranty does not cover the crystal even when it appears to have been damaged prior to my receiving the watch. For $20 shipping charge, they will inform you that they will repair the watch for more than the original cost of this "precision" timepiece. After spending many thousands of dollars with Amazon, this is easily the WORST experience I have ever had.
Questionable Reliability Apr 09, 2012
By B. Miller Three months ago, I bought this watch (but the model with the black face). What I like: Sturhling makes attractive watches for a reasonable price. I received several compliments on the watch and when I do searches for watches, I find myself drawn to the Sturhling styling - they seem to have some of the most creative designs. Their packaging is attractive. What I do not like: As others have noted on reviews of Sturhling watches, the watch kept OK time for a couple of months (not great - within a few minutes each couple of days). The self-winding mechanism is not enough to keep this watch wound. I would wear the watch for 15 hours each day and the watch would completely wind down. To stay running, it must be wound manually each day (minor inconvenience). Recently, the watch has been keeping erratic time - I have seen it lose as much as 10 minutes within a couple of hours. Sometimes it will gain 3 minutes within a couple of hours. I need the watch to keep time during meetings - I have to reset the watch prior to every meeting to make sure I'm close. As mentioned, to get the watch serviced under warranty, Sturhling requires you to pay shipping +$20. I have not done this option yet as this is ~20% of the purchase price - and I'm not sure about the results I will get as the time discrepancies are not consistent. As a point of reference, I have owned mechanical watches (wind-up, not self-winding) that have kept time within a couple of minutes over a week, so I know it is possible to create watches with consistent performance at a reasonable price.
Stuhrling Watches Mar 06, 2012
By Shopper This is my second Stuhrling watch. My first watch was a gift from my wife. I like it so much I decided to purchase a second one. This one I wanted to have a leather band. When I received the watch it came in its custom Stuhrling box w/ wipe cloth and booklet. The quality of the watch is GREAT! It's exactly what I expected. The face is a bit larger that my other watches but nothing close to those large over the top watch faces you see in those "knock off" stores. I'm 5-7 and slim and it looks great on my arm. Real leather band and quality material throughout.
