This intrepid timepiece begins with a 45mm black PVD-coated stainless steel case with a fixed black carbon fiber decagonal bezel and a textured black crown with two black pushers. These elements surround a bold black dial, which is protected by a synthetic sapphire crystal and features luminous index and Arabic numeral hour markers and luminous skeleton hands powered by Swiss quartz movement The dial also features three multifunction sub-dials offering 60-second, 30-minute and day displays along with a scrolling date display window at the 3, 4, and 5 'o clock positions. A black alligator-embossed leather band straps this watch to the wrist, while a reliable buckle clasp ensures its secure placement. Finally, this watch boasts water resistance up to 330 feet (100 meters). If you need your watch to be more than just stylish, then this is the watch for you. I bought this watch during Black Friday week for $99. I was a little suspicious with the Amazon price considering the original listed price but, decided to go ahead and purchase it as Stuhrling is a reputed company. Glad I bought it. Fits perfectly on my wrist and does not feel heavy (due to leather rather than metal strap). The synthetic sapphire glass is quite good as I have roughed it up many times since getting it but the watch still looks new without a scratch. Radium dials need pitch-black darkness to be clearly visible. All in all, a very good watch which comes in a great package. Only thing to be sad about is that the price has dropped to $79 now. But, that's good news for anyone else interested in buying this product.

My spouse purchased two of these watches for me for Christmas, this black model and one with the red outer ring. We had looked at these about three weeks earlier on Amazon and thought the retail price had to be outrageously inflated, or the watches construction outrageously overrated, but I decided I wanted these in any event. As it turns out, these watches did not disappoint in any way, and are well worth much more than the purchase price. Remember, that "retail" on jewelry is typically subject to what is known as the "key" or 50% of the listed retail. Even if that were so on watches as on rings, etc, these watches in my opinion, are well worth the "key" pricing and even better, the Amazon pricing!
Starting out, the presentation of the watches is impeccible. The outer sleeve covers the beautiful long, sleek box, making an elegant statement before it is even opened. Upon opening, the careful placement of the documents, a cleaning cloth and then the watch catch the eye. Carefully protected by cling plastic at the clasp and on both the crystal and back of the case, it is so well presented. A heavy piece of fine machinery here.
The watch itself is simply beautifully crafted. Black case gleams, dials well executed and highly visible, even with some aging eyesight. Minute and second hand dials and the sweep second hand of the chronograph work smoothly; features easy to operate. Date feature is large and easy to read, while the gear wheel for day of the week is small, and could be difficult for many to read. I didn't consider thia a negative feature since so many watches don't have the day anyway, and the gear adds to the look of the watch face. The leather band is well done and heavy, and should last.
I would be amenable to purchasing a matching black clasp type band for this watch should one become available, as the only shortcoming I perceive is this rugged looking a watch should have a rugged looking band as well. One with the same type cladding from Stuhrling could be a great accessory.
With a two year warranty, it appears this will be a solid purchase and a watch to be worn with pride.

I was intrigued with the look and features of this watch but was skeptical of quality because of the 86% discount off of the list price and less than stellar reviews of Stuhrling watches in general. I decided, however, to give it a go since Amazon has an excellent return policy. As it turned out, I'm absolutely delighted with the watch as it exceeds my expectations. I knew when I ordered it the watch would be massive - and it is - but surprisingly comfortable on my wrist. I think this is due to the wide padded watch band that integrates perfectly with the watch. The materials and workmanship/finish are perfect down to the stitching of the quality leather band and silky smooth operation of the dial and stopwatch buttons. I've had the watch for two days and the time is perfect to the second. As a footnote, I was not going to buy the watch if it was made in China so I spoke to an Amazon watch representative to find out country of manufacturer but it was not available. If you decide to buy this watch you will notice the 'Made in China' sticker is on the box!

 Poor quality with terrible customer service Jan 20, 2012

I received the Apocalypse Trinity (model #160F2.33551) on Nov 26, 2011. At first, I was very pleased with the overall appearance/functionality of the watch, but after a couple of days, the chronograph function stopped working. As per the warranty agreement from Stuhrling Original, I ended up returning the watch (for repair) with a $20 check to cover shipping to a Brooklyn, NY address.
On Dec 28th, I received a box (via UPS) that contained the Stuhrling watch box, a cleaning cloth, a "thank you" letter form Stuhrling and a yellow work order tag. There was no watch in the box!!! I have not been able to speak to a customer service representative from Stuhrling, but did receive an e-mail (dated 12/28) stating that they would file a claim with UPS to see what could be done. After making several attempts, I still have not been successful at speaking with a customer service representative nor have I received any further e-mail correspondence.
I would advise anyone that is considering the purchase of a watch from this manufacturer to be aware that the customer service is virtually non-existent. In my case, the quality was poor and now I'm without a watch and no easy way to get my money back.

First off, this watch is magnificent. My future wife purchased this watch for me after I pointed it out to her. It got here 3 days before Christmas and while I was away at work. I didn't get to see it up close until Christmas morning. I only had the picture off Amazon to go by. I opened it up to find a sleek box well designed along with the 2 year warranty card..Just put that in my wallet for a rainy day. A cleaning cloth came with it as well. I love the face of it and being 6'7" tall, a watch like this is what I need. Absolutely love the watch hands and second hands. The band is my favorite of the watch itself. Took about a day to break in the band. It isn't too heavy nor too light. Fits snug on my wrist as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It is my 1st watch from Sturhling and will not be my last. Thank you Amazon!!!
