I really like the clean, classic look of the watch dial. The picture doesn't quite do justice to it, but it has a true vintage look. I am also happy with the size. It's not enormous like a lot of watches these days, but definitely larger than an actual vintage camper or field watch would be. Should be a good fit for most guys. As always, Indiglo is an awesome feature. The perfect weekend watch.
The strap is soft and flexible. Since it's a "slip through" strap, you can easily change out bands from one day to the next. Timex apparently sells other colors of watch band specifically for this model, but it takes any 20 mm "Zulu" style nylon band. The strap it comes with is one of the most comfortable nylon watchbands I've worn. It has ordinary springbars, so you could use a traditional two-piece watchband if you wanted to.
Here are a few measurements taken from the watch itself. Diameter excluding crown: 37, including crown: 39. Total height (lug-to-lug): 46 mm. I don't have a caliper, so those measurements were just taken with a ruler, but should accurate to within a millimeter. The watch has a press-on case back rated to 30 meters.

Recieved this watch as a gift about a month ago and so far its been great. However, the indiglo, (which is activated by pressing the crown) is easily activated and sometimes will stay on without me noticing. Sometimes if I bend my hand to where the back of my hand just barely touches the crown the indiglo will activate. Great watch, but I think the indiglo switch needs a little help.

Last year I bought an expensive automatic watch. It lasted only 10 month and now it is back to Germany for the repair. This watch is cheap but I love everything about it. It looks great, keeps great time what else can you ask for.
I think I will get another one in a different color. Way to go TIMEX.

The watch is very nice. Nice movement, easy to set. The indiglo feature is a bonus that I almost can't live without these days. However, the band is very cheap, almost paper-like and is way too short for my large wrists.
Most watch bands don't fit me, I accept that. But I can only wear this watch on the very last hole of the band, and it's just a little too tight. So, a word of warning to those with large wrists, this might not be the watch for you.
Band size aside, the material is still cheap feeling. It's made of a very thin material and sounds like paper when you move the watch. I can already tell that the band will need replacing well before the watch will.
Finally, the movement of the second hand is a little louder than I would like. I prefer fluid movement, opposed to ticking, as I find it distracting in quiet rooms.
None of these things are deal-breakers, per se, but it would be nice to know them before purchasing. I might not have purchased the watch had I known the band was so short. I hate spending money on a new band for a brand new watch. Especially when the point was buying a cheap watch to begin with.

I bought this watch to wear on occasions I didn't want to risk damaging my nice watch - like yard work, etc.
I bought this watch because it looks nice, and it has the slip through strap. I have many watch straps, so the fact that this watch strap is very subpar doesn't bother me.
Had I wanted a nice watch with a quality watch strap, this would've disappointed me big time. I have medium size wrists, usually wear my straps right in the middle hole. With this strap, is was on the last hole and it seemed a bit tight.
This watch for about $30 plus a nice quality 20mm NATO band for another $10 would give you a nice watch package for $40.
If you have big wrists, think about buying an additional watch band when you purchase this watch.
