The compass works, the band is comfortable, and it is one of the less garish compass watches. Best if you read the instructions on how to set up the compass before your first reading, or the prompt may be puzzling (rotate it twice while holding it level. google your local deviation from true north).

This is the best watch I have ever had! Lots of features. Love the compass, although it is a bit off. For example, it'll say NNW instead of NW, but it is good enough to tell you which direction a street is going, which is what I wanted it for. Unfortunately, the watch band gave me a rash. I've never gotten a rash from a watch band before in my whole life! But I wear the watch anyway, just not all the time.

This is the 2nd Timex Expedition Digital Compass watch I have owned and I'm glad it was still available. My first one lasted about 5 years and still worked, though not quite as well as new - probably because I put it through every conceivable punishment you can imagine during those five years! This is the best looking, most reliable compass watch out there. It feels good on the wrist because it's not big or clunky and it's not heavy. It's very easy to calibrate the compass function and all other settings are easy to change as well. Unlike some competitor's watches, the band on the Timex is replaceable with standard watchbands. However, the camo leather looks really cool and I have replaced it every couple of years with the same band, which is still available directly from Timex. All in all, a terrific watch you will enjoy and be proud to wear, at a price that is a real bargain!

I bought this watch for someone for Christmas. Before I gave it to them I set the time and date but when I pushed the indiglo button the entire screen went completely blank. I called Timex and they told me that it could be the battery was weak but to return it to the place of purchase because if I had replaced the battery and still had to return it, it could void my warranty. Being that it was the holidays and it was a gift for someone I didn't have time to send it back. I felt I had no choice but to keep it
