 FYI - About the Face of this Watch Sep 03, 2011

This is just a FYI to anyone thinking of buying this watch. I did, for a number of reason, one of which is I liked the large white numbers on the black face of the watch. Well, when I received the watch, the numbers were not exactly white. The picture above, and others of this model, clearly show white numbers, but the watch I received had goldish, shiny, metallic numbers. I emailed the seller, Kenmar Watches (sold through Amazon), and asked about it. First they said they didn't know what I was talking about, and then they emailed me saying yes, the numbers were a shiny, metallic gold color. And that was all this model of watch had. I returned the watch. Just a FYI for anyone thinking of buying this watch. The pictures are misleading.

i just bought this item as birthday gift for myself
its size is too suitable for my thin arm, (it looks as a quite big size, although it is medium)
at the picture it appears like there a gray gradient color, but actually it is a little greenish. (that is why it is 4 stars)
the strap material looks very elegant, i hope it is durable
(after two months of use)
the battery is drained.
also i can smell bad odor from the strap if i wear it for 2 days continued, i used to wear my watches 24/7.

Overall the watch is nice. It isn't too large, has a good clean look and the construction seems solid. However, the strap is bad. I returned my first watch because one of the strap fasteners broke after a few days. Now I'm on my second watch and after a couple months, the strap is starting to crack and fall apart. I don't take it on/off frequently and I keep it clean. But it just seems the strap is of poor quality. The watch description says rubber, but when you look at the 'band material' in the specs, it says calfskin. Either way, its not holding up well under regular use. I may try to get a leather repair kit to fix the crack before it gets too big, but might be better to buy a whole new strap. One of the fasteners is coming apart as well because its not stitched, it just uses crappy glue.
I like this watch because it isn't too flashy and a reasonable price, but they need to use a better strap.

I am a fan of Wenger and I have a few of their watches.This one is x-tra special...sleek like the most expensive sports car...definately realiable as it a Wenger...my only wish is
if it were to be thinner...it will certainly look like having a little UFO on your wrist...so cool...

For a $225.00 list price watch, the rubber wrist band is a piece of crap! In about a month's time I had to buy a new leather strap because the one that came with the watch completely broke down. Even more disappointing, when I wrote the company, they didn't even bother to respond. I won't buy another Wenger watch, period!
