I bought this watch to replace an old Wenger that was looking a bit dated but still kept perfect time. Last time I had the old watch in for a battery, the watchmaker said it was a good watch with a very good Swiss movement. So Wenger was the first place I looked for a replacement. They seem to be reasonably priced for what you get. I am loving this new watch and how it looks on my arm. It is larger than the one it replaced, but does not look ostentatious or too big like a lot of watches you see now a days. I too removed the extra leather banding - I felt it held the watch too high off my arm and looked too bulky. The band does not seem too stiff to me, it has already softened up and is very comfortable - about two weeks of daily wear. The watch of course keeps perfect time. I like the rotating bezel (my old one had that feature too, and I do use it for things like when I put a steak on the grill). With it's clean, simple, masculine good looks, you can't go wrong with this Wenger 72325 Battalion II watch.

This is as close as you can get to owning Sean Connery's Rolex from the James Bond movies! And that's specifically why I ordered it. I also have the steel-banded version of this watch, but I decided to order this one because it looks even more like the one from James Bond.
The luminous green hour markers and hands, the big Wenger logo, the water resistance written on the dial, and the rotating bezel. It's an extremely beautiful watch and it looks good from any angle. The luminosity of it lights up brighter than any other Wenger I have, and it's my favorite dial design. I went with this model (steel band) specifically because I wanted the utmost durability since I wear it to work, as well as a long-lasting band. (The stainless steel band looks just like a Rolex also). And it's water resistant to 200m (660 ft), how could you beat that for this great price?
In conclusion, it's the one watch that literally makes me smile every time I go to put it on every morning, and I feel proud to glance at it (trying not to stare!) to check the time after a hard day's work. Perfect watch, 5/5. I'm a longtime Wenger and Victorinox watch customer, and this is the best one I have. I only buy Swiss-made (or any other European) watches.

I am very pleased with my new Wenger watch. I had one in the past and it never missed a second in 12 years. I'm sure this one will prove to be reliable also. You can't beat a Wenger for an affordable Swiss watch.

I wanted a well made and reliable sports watch - for the function and for the style. I looked at a lot of brands but kept coming back to Wenger watches. The problem? I found the case sizes of ladies watches too small (even in a sports or dive watch) and I wanted a watch I could easily read in all conditions. Ultimately I decided on a man's watch. The case on this watch is 40mm - not to small to read but not too large that it will look ridiculous on a tiny wrist. Referring to the other reviews on this site - yes, the band is stiff, but so are many great leather shoes when you first buy them. I have no doubt the band will soften with wear. I also removed the leather backing on the case to reduce the profile a bit but I notice the watch is less comfortable. I guess I'll have to see if the comfort improves - I may put it back on.
The quality, style and VALUE of this watch makes it a 5 star purchase in my book.

I'm really enjoying this watch. I'm very happy with the style and feel of the watch and band. I've removed the extra leather backing, and not having any problems with the band being too stiff.
The only negative is that the second hand isn't quite accurately calibrated to line up with the tick-marks 100% of the time.
