1disappointment  Apr 02, 2011 By R. Harris "coyote"
Purchased this watch for about $200 from JC Penney in Aug 2009. It ran great for a year and a half, then one day it quit.

No worries, probably the battery I thought. Took it back to JC Penney for a battery.

Employee takes off back, tells me its no longer water proof. I'm shocked.

"You shouldn't wear it near water anyway", she tells me. "They just say its waterproof but its really not."

"But thats why I paid $200 for it" I tell her. She shrugs.

She puts in a new battery. Its still dead. She says something about a stretched gasket and can't get the watch back together. I leave with a baggie full of parts.

My warranty is no invalid. I'm ticked at JC Penney but also at Wenger.

4Great watch, yet...  Apr 12, 2008 By G. gremmel "bima79"
This was a gift for my husband. Because of his work, he washes his hands constantly. He asked for a metal band with the option of military time. This watch was perfect, except for one hang up. The titanium makes it very comfortable and light and it was very easy to size.(I also bought a pin remover.)He loved the color, which matched his tungsten wedding band better than reg. base metal. The only problem was with the clasp. My husband snagged it on something and it got bent pretty easily. After that, it was almost too loose to keep closed. We took a pair of pliers to it and tightened it enough to appear fixed. Has been fine since then. Overall, great watch, just watch the clasp. That part is definitely not titanium.

2Good watch, bad band  Mar 16, 2010 By Mark A. Davis "mdbostmt"
I fell in love with this watch because to looked great, it was super light, and it was big enough to see without being to small. After owning it for about 9 months one of the links broke. The break was only one of two connections, so it held together. After 3 or 4 months of additional wear the remaining link finally broke completely. I looked up the service department on Wenger's website and found the part number, but could not figure out how to order it, let alone how much it would cost from the site. I called the phone number listed on the website and have not been able to talk to a human let alone find out how to get a replacement band. Finally, I called the merchant that I bought from and they were able to call a direct line to Wenger whereupon they informed me that a replacement band would cost $125. I think I paid right at $200 for the watch. Basically, I would have been better off buying a Fossil for $75 as they both have the same appearant life expectancy.

I don't believe this watch comes remotely close to deserving the moniker "Swiss Army".

4Very light, well sized  Dec 09, 2007 By D. Fenner
Very nice watch if you are focussed on weight. The clasp is a little too easy to open, but overall the watch is well made. It has clean lines and the bezel is completely flat. Movement seems to be solid. Has stayed dead on for a month now.
